Store tools, equipment, and materials properly. B-2. Clean the shop properly as directed by the instructor. B-3. Recognize and report hazardous situations. B-4. Use a fire extinguisher properly. B-5. Practice all shop and equipment safety regulations. B-6. Develop a proper attitude toward work and avoid unsafe practices. A-1. Identify all the tools listed in the Ag Mechanics California Curriculum Guidelines unit on basic hand and power tools. A-2. Justify in an oral or written statement (record to be kept on file in agriculture department office) the selection of tools to be used in the agricultural mechanics program. A-3. Demonstrate the proper and safe use of the tools to be used in the agricultural mechanics program. E-1. Replace handles correctly in hand tools such as hammers, shovels, and axes. E-2. Sharpen selected cutting tools correctly, including chisels, screwdrivers, twist drills, blades, hoes, axes, knives, scissors, and shears. E-3.
