UNIT GOALS:

1.  Students will understand the importance of keeping accurate records in 
    agricultural businesses.

2.  Students will understand the fundamentals of cash flow in agribusiness.

UNIT OBJECTIVES:  Upon completion of this unit, the students will be able to:

G-1.  Distinguish between the two methods of accounting.

G-2.  Describe the two basic bookkeeping systems.  

G-3.  Describe, complete, and use inventory and depreciation schedules.

G-4.  Distinguish between the MACRS and alternate MACRS methods of calculating
      depreciation.

G-5.  Become familiar with government regulations that control the use of the 
      above methods of calculating depreciation.

G-6.  List the purposes of an inventory.

I-1.  Describe the components of a cash flow statement.

I-2.  Describe the benefits of cash flow planning.

I-3.  List methods for altering cash flow.

I-4.  Complete a cash flow statement.
