UNIT GOAL:

1.  Students will understand farm budgeting, budget development, and the 
    budgeting process in agricultural businesses.

2.  Students will understand the use of records for planning and analysis.

UNIT OBJECTIVES:  Upon completion of this unit, the students will be able to:

H-1.  List the purposes of budgeting.

H-2.  List the different types of budgets.

H-3.  Arrange in order the steps in developing a budget.

H-4.  Distinguish between fixed and operating costs.

H-5.  Demonstrate the ability to complete an enterprise budget for an 
      agribusiness. 

J-1.  Describe the purposes of enterprise records.

J-2.  List four steps in finding and correcting errors in records.

J-3.  Learn how financial statements aid the decisionmaking process in 
      agribusiness management.
