UNIT GOAL: Students will demonstrate skills in the metalworking processes
           and properly identify types of materials and tools used for
           cold metalworking.
___________________________________________________________________________

UNIT OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

   1. Identify samples of cast iron, mild steel, and aluminum.

   2. Identify ten common metalworking tools by name and use.

   3. Lay out a drawing on metal.

   4. Make square and circular bends in metal, using an anvil or vise.

   5. Determine tap drill sizes.

   6. Use files and saw blades correctly.

   7. Join metal by riveting.

   8. Cut threads with tap and dies.

   9. Lay out and drill holes with a twist drill.

  10. Operate power tools such as drills and saws after completing
       appropriate safety tests.
