Prepare (mix) a growing medium for container plants. 2. Plant a variety of flats, using seeds of various bedding plants. 3. Propagate and prepare bedding foliage and/or container plants for sale (or show), according to a prearranged time schedule. 4. Demonstrate the ability to properly and quickly transplant growing stock from one container to another. 5. Demonstrate the proper techniques for watering nursery stock. 6. Identify, use, and properly maintain the principal tools, equipment, containers, and materials used in the growing of nursery stock. 7. Demonstrate and discuss the common types of irrigation systems for nursery stock (i.e., drip, mist, sprinkler, and hand). 8. Identify and explain the use of various types of horticulture structures (e.g., head house, shade house, greenhouse). 9.
