UNIT GOAL: Students will develop an understanding of the structure of the 
           ornamental horticulture industry in the United States.

UNIT OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this unit, the students will be able
                 to:

1. Identify career opportunities in the nursery (wholesale and retail), 
   landscaping (design, installation, and maintenance), and floriculture 
   (design and production) industries. Outline practical and educational 
   requirements for entry-level and advanced job placement in these 
   industries.

2. Explain the importance of and identify three trade associations.

3. Read and abstract one article from each of the two trade association 
   magazines.
